Food Service Manager Certification

Effective January 1, 2018, an ANSI accredited certified food protection manager (CFPM) certified obtained through a minimum 8 hour course and passing the exam is required, but students will not need to apply for the additional Illinois FSSMC (State) certificate. The city of Chicago will still maintain their certification. As a food service operator in the State of Illinois and the city of Chicago you must have a certified manager or supervisor on the premises “at all-time food is being handled”. If a certified manager is not present, your operation will be ticketed. Our approved sanitation classes are given weekly with the examinations.

Protect your guests and establishment when serving alcohol. FOODSERVICE EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS, INC. (FES) provides training for our customers with the B.A.S.S.E.T. program,’ which meets all State and Local requirements. Results are available on the following day.

This one-day program meets all municipal training mandates. Certificates are renewable every three years.

Program Content: Alcohol Law and Your Responsibility, Recognizing and Preventing Intoxication, Checking Identifications, Handling Difficult Situations.
