Effective January 1, 2018, an ANSI Accredited Certified Food Protection Manager (CFPM) certified obtained through a minimum 8 hour course and passing the exam is required, students will not need to apply for the additional Illinois FSSMC (State) Certificate. The City of Chicago will still maintain their certification. As a food service operator in the State of Illinois and the City of Chicago you must have a Certified Manager or Supervisor on the premises “at all-time food is being handled”. If a Certified Manager is not present, your operation will be ticketed. Our approved sanitation classes are given weekly with the examinations.

ServSafe Examinations available in the following languages: Spanish, Korean, Chinese, French Canadian, Japanese. Large Print also available. Please indicate the language desired upon registration, as they must be ordered in advance.

Cancellations: Must be received seven (7) days prior to class to receive a 50% refund, or will receive full credit toward a future class, and will be charged a $65 rescheduling fee.  No shows: Will receive full credit toward a future class and will be charged a $65 rescheduling fee (limit of 1 rescheduling per student).  Credit will be honored up to six (6) months from date of payment, not class date.  This applies to all programs.  Check-in no later than 8:45 am. Classes begin promptly at 9:00 am. A $65.00 Retest Fee is required. Late admittance is not permitted under any circumstances. [Two separate ID’s must be presented in class: one a picture ID, the other anything with your name on it – No Exceptions!] Surcharge 3% for credit/debit card.
